Last night in St. Louis!

What's up party people??

It's with mixed emotions that I write this cause Yvan and I had a great night in St Louis, but I'm sad to see Yvan leave.  He was a great help this week and I'll miss him, thanks Bud.

So I spoke to Al Canal from the Comedy Forum over a month a go and he agreed to add me in his line up for the evening.  So we arrived and he did just that.  What a beautiful club and a great guy.  He's been in the Comedy industry forever and knew alot of Comedy.  He let me on as the 2nd act and the crowd was really into it.  The Mc did a great job and announced our game plan with the documentary.

After a few times doing it now I realized that every crowd is different and that changes from city to city or state to state.  But it was a fun crowd that seemed to like to drink alot so that is really cool.  I got some good laughs and a good cheer once it was all done.  So that was cool.

The bonus of the night was the feature and Headliner.  The Feature was Mike Brody(www.mikebrody.com) and the headliner was Mike Merryfield (www.mikemerryfield.com).  Both these guys were hilarious and I could only aspire to be as good.  The bonus though was that they were both willing to stick around at the end of the night and be interviewed by me.  Firstly I interviewed Mike B and he gave me some good advice about how I hold the mike.  Now that I watched my set I get it...So thanks Bud...Then I got to interview Mike M and that was hilarious.   He said fuck it and got all the comics on stage for a little round table.  It was insane.  So we had Both Mike's, another funny comic, who I will touch on later and the Al the Club Manager(wearing a post 1700's egyptian dress...) all on stage talking about comedy.  Wow what a great 20 minutes or so.  I really enjoyed that, so thanks guys.  We all ribbed each other a bit but laughed alot.  We did film it all and I'll post some clips of it.

The other comic that I mentioned was Bill Davis.  He's been doing comedy for about 3 years and he's 70 years old.  Yeah he was a blast(and drove us home).  He's so inspiring and proved that you can do comedy at any age.  He says that he's using comedy to get away from the wife for a night, but he's meant for it.  He retired from Real estate and said that he always wanted to try it...Good for him.  Thanks for the ride Bill.

So all in all a successful night. They laughed at me cause I was driving across the US in a Hummer doing stand up, and explained that it takes years to start making money..I get it, and I know that I have a rough ride ahead...But I'll keep at it to try to get White Lake, Orleans and Navan on the map...

Pete Bougadis is coming in today and should be here any second.  I don't think he knows what hotel I'm at.  I might have said the wrong Hilton cause there's two within a few miles..but I'm sure we'll figure it out.  This is gonna be a funny weekend with him.  He's probably the funniest guy I know and was a big reason for me doing this comedy thingy..

Thanks for caring...

Bob
